The device has a pedal assembly bracket (1) fixed on a bulkhead of a motor vehicle, where the bracket is a piece obtained by molding. A pedal e.g. brake pedal (3), is articulated on the bracket and comprises a pedal arm (30) rotatively mounted around an axis. The bracket has a stopper (11) for limiting deflection of the pedal arm along a transversal axis (YY') of the pedal arm, where the stopper is a piece connected and fixed on a fixation plate (10) of the bracket. The pedal has reinforcement plate fixed on a lateral surface of the pedal arm opposite to the stopper.
