The device has a lens (1) including an edge (7) that is partly in contact support against a peripheral edge (6) of a lens reception housing (3) realized in a piece i.e. bumper (2), of a motor vehicle. An outer face (4) of the lens of a headlamp and an outer face (5) of the piece are in continuity from one another, where the lens is molded in a template realized from a mold of the piece. The lens of the headlamp is fixed to the piece using a glue cord arranged on a contact surface (8) between the edge (7) and the edge (6). An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating an assembling device.
