The article (1) has a foot or shoe retaining or locking connection (51) including portions (52, 53) that are extended from attachment ends (55, 65) to connection ends (56, 66), respectively, and retaining a foot and a shoe e.g. inline skate shoe, on an engine vehicle i.e. snowboard (2). A stop (110) limits the extension of the connection by a removable attachment (111) that connects one of attachment ends to rest of the article. A control unit (112) controls the removable attachment for releasing the attachment ends when the connection attains its maximum length.
