The method involves verifying whether an identifier of a mobile (3) corresponds to a user profile stored in a memory (2a) e.g. disk, where the user profile contains the identifier of the mobile, and an indication along which a user of the mobile refuses or accepts to receive unsolicited information e.g. advertisement. A transmission of information e.g. audio file, unconfirmed to the user profile, by an information base (1) to the mobile is avoided if the user profile indicates that the user refuses to receive the unsolicited information. An independent claim is also included for a public information system comprising information bases.
