The assembly has a support i.e. opening frame (10), including an opening (11) through which a lock (20) is extended, where the opening is defined by a cutting line (LC). A vertical indexing unit indexes the lock in an inclined position with respect to the opening. Another vertical indexing unit indexes the lock in a final position by premounting. The indexing portions are formed by an upper portion (L1), inverse L-shaped lateral portions (L2) and a lower portion (L3) of the cutting line. Vertical stops form the indexing units on the opening frame. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a support and lock assembly.
