The pillar has a gusset (14) and a monoblock reinforcement (10) that is provided with an upper edge slightly located above an upper hinge of a front door of a vehicle. The reinforcement includes an embossing part (16) on a lower part (10a) of the reinforcement and assembled on a side of a body shell of the vehicle, where the embossing part has elongated shape, which is rectilinear and horizontal. The embossing part extends on entire width of the lower part of the reinforcement.
