The device (10) has a hole (13) whose transversal section is partially circular with two flats (21, 22) that are diametrically opposed, where the device is made of a plastic material. A distance between the flats is adapted to diameter (d) of an end of a support leg (30) for avoiding swiveling of the leg when the leg is in a closed position of an engine bonnet, and permitting the swiveling of the leg when the leg is in an open position of the bonnet. The flats are extended in parallel planes, and have equal width.
