It is proposed a telescope (10) based on liquid crystal (18) and for viewing three-dimensional digital video content emitted by a projector. The viewing bezel (10) comprises only a first rectilinear polarizer (12) and a second rectilinear polarizer (13), polarization axis P1 and P2 respectively, the polarization axes P1 and P2 being parallel or perpendicular to each other. In addition, the liquid crystal (18) has a suitable intrinsic alpha tilt angle (preferably 22.5 degrees) and is used in a half wave plate configuration. The liquid crystal (18) also comprises first and second distinct zones (181, 182) respectively located opposite an axis of vision. The first area (181) has a first director and the second area (182) has a second director. The first and second directors are oriented so as to make an appropriate angle between them (preferably 45 degrees). This makes it possible to obtain a "blind" view while waiting for the projection of the film to begin and to obtain the best possible contrast between the two eyes of the user when viewing the digital video content.
