The device has a triangular shaped cotton piece (2) constituting a protection layer and placed on the side of a receiving item e.g. pillow (1), to protect the item from staining. Another triangular shaped cotton piece (3) forms an upper layer. The two triangular shaped cotton pieces form a cavity for receiving and maintaining material e.g. fabric piece, serving as an essence support. The triangular shaped cotton piece (3) is stitched on outer sides (4, 5) of the receiving item such that a side (6) remains open to form an orifice through which the support is introduced in the cavity.
