Machining mandrel for clamping workpiece or tool, has rod forming actuator, where actuator is moved in translation so as to move external or internal gripping jaws from rest position to clamping position by pulling on actuator
The mandrel (1) has external or internal gripping jaws (16) to grip a workpiece (6) or a tool, and a rod (17) forming an actuator (10). The actuator is moved in translation so as to move the external or internal gripping jaws from a rest position to a clamping position by pulling on the actuator. An elastic return unit (20) is arranged between the jaws and an internal wall (3) of the mandrel opposite to the jaws. The actuator has an end that is arranged in a body of the mandrel and integrated to an intermediate element (12) i.e. guide frame.
