The device has a polarizable liquid crystal structure (2) that is inserted in a windscreen (1) of a motor vehicle and controlled by a theft detection system (4). An anti-theft alarm (5) is connected to the system. A detection and control system (3) detects the activation of a switch key, a digital keyboard or a push button, and controls the theft detection system. The crystal structure is darken and becomes black under the effect of electric polarization controlled by triggering of the alarm. The systems and the structure are powered by a vehicle battery (7) and an independent accumulator (6).
