The method involves arranging prefabricated pre-slabs (3) on horizontal elements of a framework. A slab is placed around a prefabricated trench box that is formed by a base (1) and a cover (2), where height of the base corresponds to that of the pre-slabs. The base is integrated to the pre-slabs during casting to allow transportation of the pre-slabs due to uniform height of the base and pre-slabs. The base is arranged for receiving the cover during installation of the base on a working area (5), where height of the cover is adjusted based on the height of the slab to be formed by casting.
