The ring (1) has a fixation piece i.e. lateral fin, fixed on a drive shaft (3), and a deflection piece i.e. plate, provided with a radial rear face placed against a sealing joint (2) after fixing the fixation piece. The rear face of the deflection piece includes a peripheral edge that is bordered by a vented interior face of the deflection piece, where the peripheral edge has diameter greater than 58 millimeters. A circular evacuation opening opens on the interior face, and is provided in the deflection piece. An independent claim is also included for a power train comprising a deflection element.
