The shutter (1) has an upper part constituted by a glass pane (3), and a lower part constituted by a hollow body (4). An upper edge of the upper part is pivotally connected to a body shell of a motor vehicle at a rear part of a roof (6) of the vehicle. A lower edge (4a) of the lower part is locked or unlocked with respect to the body shell. The upper part is slidingly mounted with respect to the lower part, such that the upper part is engaged in the hollow body of the lower part during opening of the shutter.
