The adapter has a base (2) comprising a housing (7) for receiving a male connector by connection units formed of reception grooves (11) and spigots arranged on the base or on the connector, respectively. The spigots are fitted in the grooves (11) by relative rotational manoeuvre between the base and connector until a final connection position for ensuring the connection between the base and connector, when a socket of the connector is connected in the space. Output connectors of the connector and elastic contact studs (5) of the base are electrically connected in the position.
