The implant has a pyrolytic carbon sheet (1) that is partially unequipped with a graphite substrate, where the implant has a thickness comprised between 0.5 millimeter and 1.5 millimeters. A shock absorption layer (8) is made of elastomer or polymer material, and has a thickness comprised between 0.2 millimeter and 3 millimeters, where the elastomer or polymer material is chosen among silicone rubber, polyurethane, polyester urethane copolymer and polyester polyether copolymer. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating an articular implant.
