The manipulator has a piling unit for plating a fixed articulation (H) of a hinge (EB) against a mounting surface (M) of an element e.g. central post, of a vehicle body. The piling unit includes elastic pushing bodies e.g. pin pusher (10), secured by the manipulator, where each pushing body exerts inherent elastic plating force (f3) on the articulation when the manipulator is in mounting position, so as to apply the articulation against the mounting surface. Support units maintain a door leaf (D) in mounting position.
