The seat has a foot adapted to be mounted on a chassis in a rotating manner with respect to the chassis. A fixation mechanism is mounted on the foot and is adapted to alternatively take an active position in which the foot is fixed to the chassis and an inactive position in which the mechanism liberates the foot from the chassis. An advancement control unit is adapted to place the mechanism in the inactive position to displace a backrest (6) with respect to the chassis from the nominal position towards the forward position by rotation of the foot with respect to the chassis.
