The device has a protruding lip (14) and a throat (12) provided on a deflector (2) or on a bumper skin (1). The lip is fitted in the throat for fixing the deflector to the skin. A section of a part of the throat has a trapezoidal shaped portion whose large base (26) is extended from a side of an opening (16) of the throat and whose small base (28) is extended from a side of a bottom (18) of the throat to reduce mass of plastic material in the throat part.
