The cover has a flexible rectangular envelope (1) for covering a flat portable electronic apparatus i.e. portable computer (9), where the envelope is made of leather. A rigid open shell (2) is connected to the envelope and defines an enclosure (20) forming a storage sleeve for a part of the apparatus when the apparatus is introduced in the cover. A stop immobilizes the apparatus in an inclined position with respect to an internal face of the envelope.
