The method involves identifying a portion of a scene partially represented in a part of an image stream by recognition of an image element. A virtual image is inlaid in a selected area of the scene in the image stream at a scale and at perspective representation of the scene in the image. The inlay step is initialized by identifying the portion of the scene in the image of a plane of the stream. A control unit is provided to allow diffusion of the stream. An independent claim is also included for a system for processing an image stream.
