The system has pipe (9) provided with a valve (10) and placed between a pipe (3) supplying comburant gas to a humidifier (4) and a pipe (5) supplying the comburant gas to a stack (6) for forming an inlet bypass. A pipe (11) is provided with a valve (12) and placed between a pipe (7) exhausting the gas from the stack and a water rejecting pipe (8) for forming an outlet bypass. The humidifier is placed in fluid communication with the pipes (3, 5, 7, 8). An independent claim is also included for a method for eliminating water droplets formed in a stack of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell.
