The present invention relates to a telecommunication network for establishing radio frequency links between at least one main terrestrial station and terrestrial terminals via a multibeam telecommunication satellite. The network comprises a service area composed of a plurality of cells each comprising a plurality of terrestrial terminals, said service area being decomposed into N sub-zones, N being an integer strictly greater than 1, each sub-zone having a profile. capacitance evolving over time over a given period and having a maximum value, said maximum values of each of the capacitors being temporally offset and a multibeam satellite comprising a repeater including means for amplifying the signals transmitted by said earth station on the forward path and signals emitted by said cells on the return path and a continuous power supply system of said amplification means. Said supply system comprises means for supplying said amplification means supplying all the sub-areas with their respective capacitance profile evolving over said given period, the maximum continuous power delivered by said supply system being less than continuous power that said amplification means would consume to simultaneously supply all the sub-areas with their maximum value of capacity.
