PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed with a lift as an accessory of a bed utilizing power of a motor-driven bed.;SOLUTION: This patient transfer apparatus includes: a threshold-like support structure including post parts on both sides in the longitudinal of a bed provided striding over a care giving bed of a patient automatically elevated by an electric motor, a ceiling plate part and a connecting support member at the upper middle parts of the post parts, both ends of the connecting support member being slidable on the post parts; and a wire, one end of which is fixed to one side of the elevating care giving bed and which is slidably supported on the top plate-like part of the support structure. The other end of the wire is fixed to the connecting support member, and with the elevating operation of the bed, the wire is pulled to move up and down the connecting support member, whereby the whole of the patient's body or a part thereof can be placed on a hanger-like patient hanging tool suspended by the connecting support member to be elevated above the bed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
