ANTIMICROBIAL COATING COMPOSITION, METHOD FOR VITRIFYING ANTIMICROBIAL TREATMENT, AND VITRIFIED ANTIMICROBIALLY TREATED PRODUCT

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for enabling the surface of flexible articles such as particularly a textile product and leathery product to be effectively protected and the surface to be made antimicrobial as well without impairing their inherent touch feeling. PSOLUTION: An antimicrobial coating composition including a silicone resin-based coating and a specific silicon-containing compound is provided. A method for vitrifyingly and antimicrobially treating the surface of an article using the composition is also provided. More specifically, the method includes coating the surface of an article with a silicone resin-based coating, followed by coating the resultant surface with an antimicrobial agent containing a specific silicon-containing compound.
