TRAFFIC FLOW MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND TRAFFIC FLOW MANAGEMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic flow management system and a traffic flow management method for improving the reliability.;SOLUTION: The quantity of the traffic flow of a target vehicle is estimated from a measurement value of a conicity difference between left and right tire assemblies in the target vehicle, a measurement value of an alignment in the target vehicle, and a usage environment parameter determined in response to a usage environment of the target vehicle. The quantity of the traffic flow of the target vehicle is calculated from the obtained estimation value of the quantity of the traffic flow, a steering torque of a steering wheel required for correcting a course of the target vehicle deviated from a lane, and the steering torque of the steering wheel required for maintaining the course of the target vehicle. Since the quality of the traffic flow of the target vehicle is determined from the calculated quantity of the traffic flow, the reliability of a determination result is improved, and the reliability of the traffic flow management system can be improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
