HELMET FOR SPACE SUIT, AND MECHANISM FOR ATTACHNG/DETACHING THE HELMET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet for a space suit and a mechanism for attaching/detaching the helmet, which facilitate attachment of the helmet, while facilitating locking, and easy in maintenance.;SOLUTION: There is provided a helmet of a suit for the spacecraft inboard and outboard and worn in an environment having a pressure lower than the atmospheric pressure, wherein the helmet includes a window part provided by connecting a body 1 and a window member 2, the body 1 is made of an aluminum alloy and is an almost bell-shape having a shape provided by opening a part of the spherical form so that the opening is attached with a brim in the peripheral direction, or a bell-shape provided by reducing the lower part thereof, which window member 2 is provided by forming an opening on a part of the body 1 and molding a clear resin therein, and, to connect the helmet body 1 with the window member 2, an silicone adhesive and screw members 3 arranged with spaces of 3.5-4.5 times of the window part thickness are used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
