PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adsorption removal and recovery of an aimed volatile component from a multi-component solution using an adsorbent.;SOLUTION: A volatile component is removed and recovered by introducing a solution containing the volatile component into a component selective adsorbent bed 4a at a high temperature, bringing the solution into an adsorbent, adsorbing the volatile component to separate the volatile component from the other component, thereafter stopping the supply of the solution into the adsorbent bed, passing an inert gas as a purge gas to the component selective adsorbent bed 4b adsorbing the component in counter flow manner at a temperature equal to or higher than that in the adsorption step of desorbing the component from the adsorbent bed. In the case the component is water and the other component is a volatile organic substance, a water-selective adsorbent is a low silica adsorbent with a SiO₂/Al₂O₃ ratio of 5 or lower and silica coat agent of the low silica adsorbent. In the case a volatile organic substance is the component and the other component is water, the volatile organic substance-selective adsorbent is a high silica adsorbent with a SiO₂/Al₂O₃ ratio of 5 or higher.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
