PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a desulfurizing agent a suitable state for desulfurization of a hydrocarbon.;SOLUTION: The treatment method for the desulfurizing agent treats the desulfurizing agent in which a hydrogen is produced from a hydrocarbon containing a sulfur component and the hydrocarbon can be desulfurized using the hydrogen. The treatment method for the desulfurizing agent includes a step for contacting the desulfurizing agent with the hydrocarbon heated to a temperature of 100°C or higher in a closed system before the desulfurizing agent is applied to desulfurization of the hydrocarbon. The temperature for heating the hydrocarbon for pre-treatment is, for example, 430°C or lower, and the hydrocarbon for the pre-treatment is, for example, the hydrocarbon being a liquid at an ordinary temperature and at normal pressure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
