PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a former ring for a film forming mechanism of a multiple line automatic packaging machine which can make a jointing operation and a setting operation of a packaging film easy to shorten these operations time.;SOLUTION: In the former ring 20 for the film forming mechanism, a strip film F' fed from a stock roll FH passes through a clearance between an inner member 4 (feeding pipe) and the opening of a former ring 20, winding the film on the periphery of the inner member 4 and the film is formed in a nearly cylindrical shape. The former ring 20 is divided into two or more parts circumferentially to the axis of the opening and divided former rings 25 and 26 are urged resiliently toward the axis and when the thickness of the film is bigger than an predetermined thickness, the divided former rings 25 and 26 can move outside in the diameter direction by a force generated in the film thickness direction on passing through the clearance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
