PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organometallic complex having high durability, useful for an organic layer of an organic electroluminescent device formed by a wet film-forming method, having excellent solubility in a solvent, and providing the organic electroluminescent device having high efficiency and long life by the wet film-forming method.;SOLUTION: The organometallic complex usable for the organic electroluminescent device has ≤1 wt.% of the content of a compound having a molecular weight larger by 14 than that of the organic metallic complex. The organic electroluminescent device having the long life, high brightness and high efficiency can stably be provided by using the organometallic complex having the reduced content of the specific impurity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
