MICRO SCANNING OPTICAL PROBE PERFORMING OPTICAL DISTORTION CORRECTION AND ROTATION CONTROL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suitable optical probe including a suitable sheath, a suitable flexible two-way rotary photoconduction system located in the sheath and a viscous buffer fluid located in the sheath.;SOLUTION: The photoconduction system can conduct, converge and collect light having a prescribed range of wavelength. The sheath 44 and the viscous buffer fluid are transparent to at least some of the wavelengths of the light. The refractive index of the viscous liquid is normally chosen so as to remove photoeffect induction by propagation through the sheath. The optical probe has a diameter of nearly less than 500 μm to be used to scan light from a highly flexible fiber 10 to a sample.
