PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely decide a filling amount of a cooling medium.;SOLUTION: In the method adjusting a distribution of a cooling medium in a cooling circuit of a vehicle, the medium to cool a drive motor and/or other units is stirred, a fluid type retarder is arranged in the cooling circuit, the retarder includes a first and second impellers to be driven, the first and second impellers form a torus type operation room which can be selectively filled with and emptied of an operating medium so that a torque is transferred from the first impeller to the second impeller, and the cooling medium of the cooling circuit is, at the same time, the operation medium of the fluid type retarder. The method includes a step of filling always fully or almost fully the operation room of the fluid type retarder with the operation medium just before, during, or just after the start and/or the end of stop processing of the vehicle.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
