PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scan condition determining device capable of determining new scan conditions easily. PSOLUTION: A plurality of items, such as "desire to shorten the imaging time", "desire to raise SNR", and "desire to raise the spatial resolution ability" are displayed on a monitor 31 to make an operator select any item from among these items. Item selecting means 44 sends the selected item to scan condition determining means 45 according to the operation of the operator. The scan condition determining means 45 changes the parameter value of a scan parameter corresponding to the selected item to determine new scan conditions.
