DATA REPLICATION SYSTEM, DATA REPLICATION METHOD, PROGRAM, AND DISK ARRAY DEVICE

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data replication system for exhibiting the replication performance expected in a device independently of line delay. PSOLUTION: A disk array device 11 at a primary site 1 includes a response time measuring means 114 and a multiplexity degree determining means 115. In response to the first connection between two disk array devices 11 and 21 at the primary site 1 and a secondary site 2 or the change of a connecting line (change of a carrier, a remote device, or the like), the response time measuring means 114 transfers a dummy replication request to the disk array device 21 at the secondary site 2 and measures a replication completion response time spent till reception of a replication completion report from a status reporting means 213. The multiplexity degree determining means 115 sets a higher degree of replication transfer multiplexity for a longer replication completion response time and sets a lower degree of replication transfer multiplexity for a shorter replication completion response time.
