PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring material composition for manufacturing a color filter having high heat resistance, high light transmittance, and high contrast.;SOLUTION: The coloring material composition is obtained by hydrolyzing and condensing a metal alkoxide in a solvent in the presence of a dyestuff composed of a triphenylmethane-based compound or its salt.
