PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily transmit a message to a device user.;SOLUTION: A process, which is executed by a home gateway device constituting a message transmission system, includes the steps of: detecting that a packet transmitted by a television receiver is received (S610); extracting an identification number and a network address of the television receiver from the packet (S620); loading a message and a telephone number related to the extracted identification number into a work area of a RAM from a flash memory (S630); determining whether the television receiver transmitting the packet is a device registered in the home gateway device or not (S640); originating a call via a telephone set (S650); and, transmitting the message to the telephone set (S670) when a response by the telephone set is detected (YES at S660).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
