PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low alloy type ferritic stainless steel for an automotive exhaust system member which has corrosion resistance after heating more excellent than that of SUH409L(11Cr series) and has workability more excellent than those of AISI439(17Cr series) and is low in cost.;SOLUTION: There is disclosed the low alloy type ferritic stainless steel for the automotive exhaust system member having excellent corrosion resistance after heating, which has a composition comprising, by mass, ≤0.015% C, 0.05 to 0.50% Si, 0.05 to 0.50% Mn, ≤0.050% P, ≤0.0100% S, ≤0.015% N, 0.020 to 0.100% Al and 12.5 to 16.5% Cr, and further comprising one or two kinds selected from 0.03 to 0.30% Ti and 0.03 to 0.30% Nb, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and in which A value defined by formula (1)A=[Cr]+[Si]+0.5[Mn]+10[Al] is ≥13.0.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
