PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the earthquake resistance of the joint part between a shield tunnel and an arrival vertical shaft 1 to which stress may be concentrated in an earthquake.;SOLUTION: A socket tube 11 for receiving a shield machine 2 is installed in the arrival vertical shaft 1, and a ring steel plate 12 is attached to the inner surface of the socket tube 11. A soil retaining wall 13 is constructed of an easily cuttable material on the earth side of the socket tube 11. A cut part having an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the shield machine 2 is formed in the soil retaining wall 13. The end of the skin plate 21 of the shield machine 2 is stopped in the space surrounded by the ring steel plate 12, and the end of the skin plate 21 is welded to the ring steel plate 12 with a water sealing iron plate 15 welded to the inner surface of the ring steel plate 12 interposed therebetween to enclose and to provide a water sealing function. An enclosed cushioning chamber 31 is formed of the ring steel plate 12, flange plates 16, and extension plates welded to the flange plates 16 parallel to each other, respectively, a cover plate 14 stretched from the extension plates in the orthogonal direction, and a flexible band 3 stretched between the ends of the cover plate 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
