PRODUCTION PROCESS OF WATER-BASED, FLAME-RETARDANT WOOD-PLASTIC COMPOSITE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production process of a water-based, flame-retardant wood-plastic complex.;SOLUTION: A matrix solution of a wood-plastic composite is heated after impregnating to a wood or woody material, thereby polymerizing (A) water-soluble polymerizable monomer, oligomer or prepolymer having a vinyl group and a hydrophilic group in the matrix solutio by a polymerization catalyst contained in the matrix solution, wherein the matrix solution comprises the wood or woody material and a resin which is a polymerization product of the polymerizable monomer, oligomer or prepolymer, prepared by adding 5-50 wt.pts. of a water soluble flame retardant as well as a polymerization catalyst based on 100 wt.pts. of an aqueous solution and adjusting pH to 4-8, wherein the aqueous solution comprises (A) water soluble polymerizable monomer, oligomer or prepolymer having a vinyl group and a hydrophilic group, (B) a water soluble glycol and (C) water. Preferably, the aqueous solution would comprise 10-40 wt.% of (A) water soluble polymerizable monomer, oligomer or prepolymer having a vinyl group and a hydrophilic group and 90-60 wt.% of (C) water; while blending 0.5-1 wt.pt. of (B) the water soluble glycol based on 100 wt.pts. of sum total of (A) and (C), and adopting acidic organic flame retardant(s) and alkaline organic flame retardant(s) as the water soluble flame retardants.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
