PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data retrieval system, an information processor, a database retrieval method and a program for achieving high speed database retrieval without necessity to increase resources.;SOLUTION: In a database retrieval system, when a retrieval request is made from a client device to a server, access to a database server and the retrieval of a database installed in the database server are performed, and a retrieval result is output from the client device. The server includes: a selection means for preliminarily storing setting associating a plurality of methods for performing access to the database server with the plurality of load situations of the server, and for detecting the load situations of the server in a predetermined timing, and for selecting the optimal method according to the result of detection and the setting; and a server side execution means for making the server or the client device execute the method selected by the selection means when a retrieval request is made from the client.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
