REAL-TIME WELDING QUALITY DETERMINATION APPARATUS AND DETERMINATION METHOD

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of determining quality in real time during welding such as finding occurrence of a defect in real time when the defect occurs during the welding. PSOLUTION: The real-time welding quality determination apparatus is configured such that physical quantity relative to welding energy of a weld zone during the welding is measured, that the physical quantity is made into a plurality of kinds of and a large number of pieces of digitized sampling data, for each unit processing time in the case of continuous welding and for each spot in the case of spot welding, that the digitized respective kinds of sampling data are made into one dimensional data by a procedure including normalization in accordance with the types and conditions of the welding, that the multidimensional sampling data containing respective kinds of one-dimensional data are made into one-dimensional sampling vector by a procedure including dimension degeneracy, and that the one-dimensional sampling vector is compared with a vector to be an evaluation reference to determine the welding quality of the unit processing time or the spot.
