PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the holding force for holding a bearing by increasing the remaining axial force of a bearing holder after caulking the bearing.;SOLUTION: The plastic flow of a caulked portion 8b to a fore end side of an end of the bearing holder 8 is suppressed by the caulking performed by a roller 24 having a pressing circumferential surface 26b of the conical shape, and the plastic flow is promoted on a circumferential wall part on the opposite side without any folding. Thus, the axial elastic deformation of the bearing holder 8 can be reduced, and the difference between the axial elastic deformation and the elastic deformation of an outer race 14a can be increased in comparison with that in the conventional caulking. After completing the caulking, the remaining axial force at the bearing holder 8 is increased more than that in the regular caulking. Thus, the holding force for holding the outer race 14a can be increased.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
