PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil leak preventing tool in oil-filled equipment, such as transformers, that enables anyone to simply prevent oil leakage, without allowing results of the oil leakage prevention to depend on the amount of oil leak in execution, the degree of scraping work, and the degree of coating of sealing agent, and can significantly shorten the working hours as a whole, and to provide a method of preventing oil leak by the oil leakage preventing tool. PSOLUTION: The oil leak preventing tool in oil-filled equipment, such as transformers, is constituted of a fixed cup including an opening fitted to the head of a bolt at a flange junction section, and a covering cup that is disposed, while covering the fixed cup and includes an opening surrounding the periphery of the head of the bolt, and the fixed cup is connected to the covering cup by a self-tapping screw. Also, the fixed cup includes a plurality of small screws on a peripheral wall near the opening, and is fixed to the head of the bolt by tightening the small screws. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
