PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact power feed type normal mode helical antenna excelling in characteristics, rich in versatility, and suitable for ubiquitous communication use.;SOLUTION: The noncontact power feed type normal mode helical antenna includes: a metal plate; a coil formed by spirally winding a metal wire and arranged adjacent to the metal plate; and a coupling element formed with a conductor connected to a power-feed point, wherein the surface normal direction of the metal plate is assumed to be a vertical direction, the coil is adjacently arranged above the metal plate so that a spiral axis extension direction is set parallel to a surface of the metal plate, and the coupling element is arranged above the metal plate while being laminated in the vertical direction without contacting the coil or the metal plate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
