PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing basic copper carbonate having the structure optimum for a raw material of copper powder for electronic materials and the basic copper carbonate to be produced by this production method.;SOLUTION: The method for producing basic copper carbonate comprises: a dissolution step of dissolving sodium carbonate in water; an addition step of adding an aqueous solution of copper sulfate to the obtained aqueous solution of sodium carbonate; and a recovery step of recovering solid content from the slurry produced at the addition step. The basic copper carbonate obtained by this producing method has a cauliflower-shaped structure in which a plurality of primary particles are bonded to one another.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
