PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of recovering and utilizing heat energy of an exhaust gas, capable of sufficiently utilizing warm water obtained from the heat energy of the exhaust gas as heat source water of an adsorption refrigerating machine even when its temperature is comparatively low. PSOLUTION: In recovering the heat energy of the exhaust gas as the warm water, and utilizing the recovered heat energy of the exhaust gas as the heat source water of the adsorption refrigerating machine, the heat energy of the exhaust gas recovered as the warm water is utilized as the heat source water of the adsorption refrigerating machine by using an in-ground heat exchanger 15 exchanging heat between cooling water and soil heat as a means for cooling the cooling water discharged from an adsorbent heat exchanger 10 of the adsorption refrigerating machine 1.
