PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-dimensional optical sensor array which has at least one of improved performance, such as the response time, mixed problems, dynamic range, detection capability for optical images at low light level and the signal-to-noise ratio.;SOLUTION: An optical sensor array, using a new detection method to attain these objectives. One among a plurality of connection means of a selected group is selected and is driven from a first voltage potential to a second voltage potential; whereas the remaining of the plurality of connection means of the selected group are kept at the first voltage potential. Subsequently, each of a plurality of connection means of non-selected groups is operated from a third voltage potential to a fourth potential, and then sequentially operated from the forth potential to the third voltage potential, and thereby the photoelectric current from an optical sensor connected to the selected one of the plurality of connection means of the selected group is sequentially detected substantially at the second potential, through the selected one of the plurality of connection means of the selected group.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
