PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting non-idiopathic interstitial pneumonia and a method of screening a curative medicine of non-idiopathic interstitial pneumonia.;SOLUTION: The method of detecting non-idiopathic interstitial pneumonia includes the step of measuring the expression level of periostin gene or periostin protein in a testpiece derived from a drug administered patient, a radiation irradiated patient, a collagen disease patient or an infected patient, and performing a cell or a tissue with capability producing periostin microbial infection treatment, drug-treatment, and/or radiation treatment, and the method of preventing non-idiopathic interstitial pneumonia or screening a curative medicine includes the step of measuring the expression level of the periostin gene or periostin protein when a candidate is brought into contact with them.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
