PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavation support device capable of easily and accurately performing linear excavation by a construction machine.;SOLUTION: The device for supporting excavation work using the construction machine includes: a projector 2 installed near an excavation place and emitting laser beams along a reference surface S; a light receiver 11 having a plurality of light receiving parts for receiving the laser beams, along a longitudinal direction and mounted to an arm 4; an inclination sensor 12 detecting the inclination angle of the arm 4; and a control part for computing an actual excavation depth H1 from the reference surface S to the tip of a bucket 3 based on detection signals of the light receiver 11 and inclination sensor 12, and comparing the actual excavation depth H1 with a preset specified excavation depth H3 to obtain an excavation error H2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
